Things
are progressing well. Last House on the Block received some donations
from members of Halifax City Council. We will be able to continue to provide our
services thanks, in part, to Councillor Lorelei Nicoll of
District 4, Councillor Bill Karsten of District 3 and Deputy Mayor
Tony Mancini, also Councillor of District 6.
As
for the afghan blanket project, we currently have 6 completed, with
#7 and #8 in progress.
Scarves are on schedule, including junior
scarves. We generally use about 24 of those and we're halfway there
at present. Work on the blankets will ease up during the summer months and resume again during the fall.
